Ha Giang High School for the Gifted welcomes Fulbright English teaching assistant
BHG - The Ha Giang High School for the Gifted was selected as one of 21 schools, colleges, and universities in Vietnam to join the US Department of State’s Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant (FLTA) Programme in the 2024-2025 academic year, as announced by the leaders of the school on August 16.

Accordingly, the school welcomed Laichia Vang, an English teaching assistant from the US. She will conduct three classes for students at the school, including two classes for English gifted learners, and one for ordinary students.
Her participation in the classes is aimed at improving the listening, speaking and communication skills of the students.
This is the second time Ha Giang High School for the Gifted has welcomed an English teaching assistant from the Fulbright Programme in Vietnam. The teaching assistant's expenses are all sponsored by the programme.
The Fulbright Programme in Vietnam features more than 15 programmes, including the English Teaching Assistant Programme. In the 2024-2025 school year, Fulbright in Vietnam will provide 21 English teaching assistants at high schools for the gifted, colleges, and universities across Vietnam.
The English teaching assistants are US citizens with bachelor's degrees in various majors who are responsible for supporting Vietnamese schools in teaching and learning English.
