Provincial Party Secretary Hau A Lenh attends ceremony marking 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press and visits local media agencies

BHG - On the morning of June 17, Ha Giang Province solemnly held a ceremony to mark the 100th anniversary of the Vietnam Revolutionary Press (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2025), in conjunction with the 16th Ha Giang Provincial Press Awards. The event was attended by Mr. Hau A Lenh, Member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Thao Hong Son, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council. The ceremony was broadcast live on the digital platforms of Ha Giang and Tuyen Quang provinces.

On behalf of the Provincial Party Committee, the People's Council, the People's Committee, and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Hầu A Lềnh presented a bouquet of fresh flowers to journalists of Hà Giang Province.

At the event, the Chairman of the Ha Giang Journalists’ Association reviewed the glorious 100-year history of Vietnam's revolutionary journalism. Secretary Hau A Lenh emphasized the pioneering role of the press in disseminating the Party’s and State’s guidelines and policies, contributing to the protection of national sovereignty and the maintenance of political stability and social order.

Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Thào Hồng Sơn presented the “For the Cause of Journalism” commemorative medal to Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Hầu A Lềnh and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vương Ngọc Hà.

On this occasion, the Vietnam Journalists Association awarded the "For the Cause of Journalism" insignia to individuals with outstanding contributions. The Provincial People’s Committee presented Certificates of Merit to four collectives and ten individuals for their achievements.

The 2025 Ha Giang Provincial Press Awards received 150 submissions, of which 124 entries advanced to the final round. Ultimately, 55 outstanding works were honored, including five First Prizes, ten Second Prizes, fifteen Third Prizes, and twenty-five Consolation Prizes. The awarded pieces closely reflected real-life issues, offering vivid insights into topics of public interest.

Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Hầu A Lềnh presented the A-level prizes in various categories of journalism to the winning authors.

On the morning of June 18, Secretary Hau A Lenh and provincial leaders visited and extended congratulations to press agencies and the Ha Giang Journalists’ Association on the occasion of Revolutionary Press Day. He praised the contributions of media professionals and expressed hope that journalism in the province would continue to innovate, remain creative, and accompany the province in achieving its development goals.

Secretary Hau A Lenh also visited and congratulated the Provincial Commission for Propaganda and Mass Mobilization, acknowledging its efforts in ideological orientation, communication, and fostering unity within the Party and the people. He urged the Commission to continue renewing its content and methods, and to provide more effective strategic advice in the new period.
